Choosing & Brewing Your Coffee
Which roast should I choose?
Follow your taste into the shadows. Light roasts generally offer brighter, more delicate flavors. Medium roasts strike a balance, while dark roasts lean toward deeper, bolder, roasted notes. Check each coffee’s tasting notes to find your match.
Should I choose whole bean or ground coffee?
Choose whole bean if you have a grinder and want to grind just before brewing. Ground coffee is the convenient choice. Check the product’s available options and choose a grind suited to your brewing method.
How should I store my coffee?
Keep your coffee in an airtight container in a cool, dry place, away from sunlight, heat, and moisture. For everyday storage, avoid the refrigerator.
What’s a good starting point for brewing?
Start with about 1 gram of coffee for every 16 grams of water, then adjust to taste. If your cup feels too strong, use a little less coffee. Too weak? Add a little more. Your ritual, your rules.
How do I choose a coffee for my brewing method?
Start with the product’s tasting notes and available grind options. Your brewing method, grind size, and coffee-to-water ratio all affect the final cup, so a little experimentation is part of finding your favorite.
What is the strongest Shadow Vow coffee?
If you mean caffeine strength, our recommendation is Night Vigil – High Caffeine Coffee, a bold blend that includes Robusta for added caffeine and body. If you mean a dark, smoky roast flavor, choose Funeral Flame – Dark French Roast Coffee. Caffeine strength and roast intensity are different, and the amount of caffeine in your cup also depends on how you brew it.
Which coffee is best for cold brew?
Our recommendation is Cold Eclipse – Cold Brew Coffee, a medium roast crafted specifically for cold brewing. Its chocolate and toffee notes and subtle floral finish make it a smooth choice for serving chilled or over ice. Choose a coarse grind, or grind whole beans coarsely before brewing.
Do you offer decaf coffee?
Yes. Ashen Hour – Peru Decaf Coffee is a medium roast with notes of caramel, gentle citrus, and balanced sweetness. It is decaffeinated using the Swiss Water Process. Decaf does not mean completely caffeine-free.
Brewing Your Loose Leaf Tea
Can herbal tea be brewed iced?
Yes. Spectral Berry – Hibiscus Berry Herbal Tea is delicious served over ice. Brew 3 g of tea per 12 oz of water at 212°F for 5–10 minutes, then strain, let it cool, and serve over ice. For a bolder iced cup, use a little more tea to allow for dilution as the ice melts. Spectral Berry is naturally caffeine-free.

When will my order ship?
Orders are generally processed within 1 business day, excluding holidays. Orders placed after noon, on weekends, or on holidays may begin processing the next business day.
How long will delivery take?
Available shipping methods and estimated delivery times are shown at checkout. Delivery estimates begin once your order ships and aren’t guaranteed. Carrier delays, weather, and other disruptions can affect arrival times.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping is free on all U.S. orders. International orders ship for a flat rate of $25 USD.
How can I track my order?
Once your order ships, we’ll email you a shipping confirmation with a tracking link if your shipping method supports tracking. Tracking information may take some time to update.
Can I change my shipping address or cancel my order?
Email shadowvowcoffee@gmail.com as soon as possible. We may be able to help before your order ships, but changes aren’t guaranteed. Once an order is in transit, we can’t modify it.
What if my package is lost, damaged, or delayed?
Contact shadowvowcoffee@gmail.com with your order number and a description of the issue. We’ll help you work with the carrier.
